Class:
Plant growth support
Activity: Restores
depleted beneficial microorganisms in the soil.
· Composition
Mycormax contains spores of mycorrhizal fungi (Glomous
intradices), colonized root fragments and other propagules in a
clay-based carrier. The fungus penetrates plant roots to form mycorrhizae
which enhance water and nutrient uptake, improves hormone production
and provides resistance to diseases.
Although the fungus is generally available in the
soil, it is depleted through continuous tillage, use of synthetic
pesticides and fumigants, extended fallow periods and applications
of fertilizers thus making restoration/replenishment necessary.
· Rates and
Method of Application
Mycormax may be spread broadcast over a tilled field
preplant, in planting holes or furrow incorporated or around the
root areas of a growing plant. The recommended rate of use is 4kg/ha.
The product may be applied as is or as a slurry in water. Such a
slurr may be used as a drench or as a root dip at transplanting.
· Contradictions
Mycormax contains living organisms which may be
destroyed by chemical pesticides. Do not apply in mix with or on
surfaces which still has remnants of chemicals.
· Precautions
Mycormax does not have any serious toxicity issues.
However, avoid ingestion.
