Composition
Pyegar is a combination (combi) of natural pyrethrines
and garlic extract formulated in assorted vegetable oils. Pyrethrines
provide quick knockdown and garlic the extended kill thus perfecting
the control.
· Activity
Pyegar controls mites, aphids, thrips, caterpillars,
worms, whitefly and other flies.
· Crop Range
The combi may be applied on all crops which host
these pests. But due to the presence of Garlic which is known to
have phytotoxicity on some plants, test on a few plants before applying
on the crop wholesale.
· Rate and
Method of Application
The recommended rate is 3mls per litre of water.
This is equivalent to 60mls per knapsack. Shake the product thoroughly
before mixing with water. High pH may affect efficacy. It is recommended
to adjust the water pH to 5-6 before mixing with Pyegar.
Spray to wet covering all the target area including
underleaf.
Timing of Application
Spray at the first instance of infestation and repeat
every fourteen days until the symptoms are eliminated. The use of
a wetter such as Natural Wet enhances efficacy. Avoid overhead irrigation
for the next 24 hours after application.
· Contradictions
Pyegar may be applied in mixture with other pesticides
and foliar fertilizer. However, always test miscibility with a small
quantity before mixing wholesale.
Because of the presence of pyrethrum, do not let
the spray volume to stand in the sun for more than 2 hours after
mixing. Apply as soon as the mixing has been accomplished·
Precautions
This combi has no serious effect to humans. However, normal precautions
associated with the use of pest control products should be followed
and incase of an accident, standard first aid measures should be
applied.
· Storage
Store in original container in a dark cool and dry
area.
· Preharvest
Interval
Although there is no residue issues with the use
of Pyegar and harvesting may commence soon after application, it
is recommended to harvest a day after application. |
