Fungicides

TYPE: Fungicide, nutrient, insecticide and miticidal product
CLASS: Synthetic
CATEGORY: Non-organic multipurpose product
DESCRIPTION: This is a three-way package of products namely a fungicide (Fosphite), a nutritional product (Wondergrow) that provides basic plant nutrients and a nematicide/miticide/insecticide (Marshal 250EC).
COMPOSITION: A combined action of Potassium salts, Carbosulfan.
MODE OF ACTION: Contact and systemic action.
PEST RANGE: Banana weevil, Nematodes, Fusarium, Termites, anthracnose, root rot, phytophthora, cutworms.
CROP RANGE: Bananas
RATE OF USE: Mix 1 litre of each product with 100litres of water and apply at a rate of 1 litre of the mixture per stool either pre-plant or post-plant.
EFFECT ON BEES: Carbosulfan the active ingredient in Marshal is toxic to bee, avoid direct spray on bee colonies and forage bees
WAITING PERIOD(PHI): Carbosulfan has 28 days
REG_STATUS: Fosphite PCPB(CR)0365, Marshal 250EC PCPB(CR)0055

TYPE: Fungicide
CLASS: Synthetic Strobilurin + Triazole
CATEGORY: Non-organic
DESCRIPTION: A Preventive & Curative Fungicide for the Control of Powdery mildew and Rust
in Roses and Carnations respectively and control of coffee leaf rust.
COMPOSITION: Azoxystrobin 125g/L + Flutriafol 125g/Ll
MODE OF ACTION: Azoxystrobin works by inhibition of the mitochondrial respiration and Flutriafol works by blocking the synthesis of ergosterol in the fungi thereby inhibiting spore germination, mycelial growth in fungi. It also works by its anti sporulant activity, thus affording control in all stages of disease development.
PEST RANGE: Powdery mildew and rust
CROP RANGE: Coffee, roses and carnations
RATE OF USE: 500ml/ha or 10mls in 20L
EFFECT ON BEES: Avoid direct spray to bees and bee colony.
WAITING PERIOD(PHI):
REG_STATUS: PCPB(CR)1390

TYPE: Fungicide
CLASS: synthetic fungicide
CATEGORY: Non-organic
DESCRIPTION: Mancolax® 72% WP is a combination of Mancozeb and Metalaxyl with both preventative and curative properties against a wide range of diseases such as blight and downy mildew. Treatment is recommended at first signs of infestation and thereafter in 2-3 weeks interval.
COMPOSITION: Mancozeb 680g/kg and Metalaxyl 80g/kg
MODE OF ACTION: mancozeb interferes with enzymes containing sulfhydryl groups, disrupting several biochemical processes within the fungal cell cytoplasm and mitochondria.
Metalaxyl penetrates into the cells of fungus and selectively interferes with the DNA synthesis by inhibiting growth of mycelium and the formation of spores and haustoria.
PEST RANGE: Blights, Downy mildew, Powdery mildew, root rots, damping-off.
CROP RANGE: Potatoes, Tomatoes, Roses, Carnations, Snow peas and Asian vegetables
RATE OF USE: 2.5-5g/L of water at interval of 2-3weeks
EFFECT ON BEES: harmful to bees, target application late in the evening when bees are not foraging.
WAITING PERIOD(PHI): 7-10 days

TYPE: Fungicide
CLASS: Synthetic
CATEGORY: Non-organic
DESCRIPTION: A broad spectrum fungicide for control of seed and soil borne diseases of cereals.
COMPOSITION: Flutriafol 25g/kg + Thiabendazole 25g/kg
MODE OF ACTION: Flutriafol is systemic and it interferes with the production of ergosterol, a vital component of the pathogen cell membrane. It results in fungal cell wall collapse and inhibition of hyphal growth. Thiabendazole inhibits cell mitosis and mycelial growth.
PEST RANGE: Embryonic smuts, Bunts, Barley leaf stripe, Fusarium, Seedlings blight
CROP RANGE: All types of barley and Wheat, Maize and other cereals.
RATE OF USE: 200mL/100Kg or 2mL/Kg (can be used undiluted or 200mL diluted with up to 500ml)
EFFECT ON BEES: Highly toxic to bees, do not spray when the bees are foraging in the field.
WAITING PERIOD(PHI):
REG STATUS: PCPB(CR)0212

TYPE: Fungicide
CLASS: Synthetic dicarboximides (cyclic imide)
CATEGORY: Non-organic
DESCRIPTION: An excellent contact fungicide effective against Botrytis in roses and pelargonium, offering both curative and preventive benefits to applied crops.
COMPOSITION: Iprodione 500g/L
MODE OF ACTION: Iprodione inhibits spore germination and stops the mycelium development of a number of parasitic fungi.
PEST RANGE: Botrytis
CROP RANGE: Roses and pelargonium.
RATE OF USE: 1L/ha in 1000L of water or 100mls in 100L of water.
EFFECTS ON BEES: Harmful to bees, apply when bees are not foraging.
REG_STATUS: PCPB(CR)0539

TYPE: Fungicide
CLASS: Synthetic fungicide
CATEGORY: Non-organic
DESCRIPTION: A broad spectrum triazoles with a systemic broad-spectrum that offers eradicant and protective activity and is the most mobile, among the triazoles on the leaf surface evenly thus providing high efficacy against rust in cereals.
COMPOSITION: flutriafol 125g/l
MODE OF ACTION: Is a demethylation inhibitor (DMIs). Acts by blocking the synthesis of ergosterol in fungi. This causes rapture of the cell wall and subsequent inhibition of the growth; this blockage occurs in a process called demethylation.
PEST RANGE: stripe rust in wheat and barley, Ascochyta leaf spot, powdery mildew on snow peas, botrytis, Alternaria on Confetti; rust, rings spot & botrytis on Carnations; powdery mildew, botrytis & black spot on Roses.
CROP RANGE: wheat, barley, snow peas, confetti, carnations, roses.
RATE OF USE: 0.75L/Ha or 15mls/20L of water.
EFFECT ON BEES: Harmful to bees, recommended to use when bees are not foraging.
WAITING PERIOD(PHI): 21 days
REG_STATUS: PCPB (CR) 0016-P(i)
