TYPE: Acaricide
CLASS: Synthetic pyrethroid
CATEGORY: Non-organic
DESCRIPTION: Dominex® 100EC is a broad-spectrum insecticide/acaricide for the control of ticks, tsetse flies and other flies on livestock. It controls ticks and flies including organo-chlorine and organo-phosphate resistant strains. It inhibits egg production of many resistant strains of ticks including the Blue tick and controls other biting and nuisance flies through its fast-knockdown effect and long-residual control.
COMPOSITION: 100 g/L Alphacypermethrin
MODE OF ACTION: Act through contact and ingestion by disruption of sodium channel function. It aalters the kinetics and calcium influx by the inhibition of VGCC, which regulates the protein kinases and phosphatases, the key enzymes involved in the signal transduction pathways.
PEST RANGE: Ticks and Tsetse flies
HOST RANGE: Livestock
RATE OF USE:
• Initial filling rate: 1 L/2000 L (water)
• Replenishment: 1 L/1250 L (water)

DESCRIPTION: Almatix® is a broad-spectrum acaricide for the control of ticks, mites, and lice on cattle, sheep, goats and pigs. Almatix® should be used externally on cattle, sheep, pigs and goats only.
COMPOSITION: 125 g/L Amitraz
MODE OF ACTION: Its effectiveness is traced back on alpha-adrenergic agonist activity, interaction with octopamine receptors of the central nervous system and inhibition of monoamine oxidases and prostaglandin synthesis. This inhibition leads to overexcitation and consequently paralysis and death in insects.
PEST RANGE: Ticks, mites and lice
HOST RANGE: Livestock
RATE OF USE:
Dipping: 1 L Almatix® in 500L of water. Replenishment of 100 ml of Almatix® for 25 L of water added to the dip after dipping. Add 0.35 kg of Almatix® stabilizers for every 100 ml of Almatix®.
Hand spray: Put 40 ml of Almatix® in 20 L of water.
Spray Races: 100 ml/50 L of water.
Hand Dressing: 40 ml/20 L of water.
Pigs: Mix 100 ml/25 L(water) or 40 ml/10 L of water
Limitation: Do not apply on horses and donkeys.
EFFECT ON BEES: Amitraz is a formamide exhibiting both acaricidal and insecticidal activity and is frequently used by beekeepers to protect honeybee colonies against Varroa destructor mites

TYPE: larvicide for control of mosquitoes
CLASS: Biological mono-layer bio-degradable vegetable oil
CATEGORY: organic
DESCRIPTION: Larvex® 100 is a new type of mosquito larvicide based on Monox Cl-Fcm, a water insoluble surfactant that is completely non-toxic and biodegradable. When applied, it spreads rapidly on the surface of water to give a mono-molecular film. Larvex® 100 acts by physical wetting action. This permits the water to enter the hydrophobic breathing passages of the larvae, causing oxygen deprivation, asphyxia and drowning.
COMPOSITION: Monox-Cl-Fcm
MODE OF ACTION: Larvex is not a toxicant. Its mode of action is physical. Larvex has a strong water surface action (surfactant) which causes the wetting of the interior of the respiratory trumpet of mosquito larva and pupa thus allowing the entry of water which suffocates and drowns them. The monolayer also forms a preventive barrier against female mosquito oviposition
PEST RANGE: Mosquito larvae / pupae
VECTOR TARGET: Stagnant or near stagnant water in dams, water tanks, canals, water pans, pools and sewers (mosquitoes breeding sites)
RATE OF USE: 5L of Larvex/ha (0.5 ml/m2).
Application: Pour the required dosage at various points along the edges of the water body.
EFFECT ON BEES: Larvex is a non-toxicant and does not affect marine life (fish etc). It is biodegradable and does not accumulate in the environment. It is therefore environmentally friendly.

DESCRIPTION: Bactericide for control of Bacterial wilt (Ralstonia solanacearum) on potatoes and capsicum by soil drenching.
COMPOSITION: Calcium hypochlorite 150 g/Kg
MODE OF ACTION: Mechanism of action causes biosynthetic alterations in cellular metabolism and phospholipid destruction, formation of chloramines that interfere in cellular metabolism, oxidative action with irreversible enzymatic inactivation in bacteria, and lipid and fatty acid degradation.
PEST RANGE: Bacterial wilt
CROP RANGE: Potatoes and capsicum
RATE OF USE: 300kg/ha
EFFECT ON BEES: Not harmful to bees, avoid direct spray on bees.
WAITING PERIOD(PHI): 21 days
REG_STATUS: PCPB(CR)2094
TYPE: Fumigant
CLASS: synthetic Carbamate
CATEGORY: Non-organic
DESCRIPTION: Pre-plant soil disinfectant for control of nematodes in pineapples; root-knot nematodes and bacterial wilt in tomatoes.
COMPOSITION: Sodium Methyl Dithiocarbamate 51%
MODE OF ACTION: Once applied in the soil, hydrolysis occurs that produces highly active methyl isocyanate (MIT) gas which paralyses soil borne organisms.
PEST RANGE: bacterial diseases, nematodes, fungi and soil borne pests.
CROP RANGE: ornamentals, pineapples, strawberries, nurseries, tomatoes, potatoes, beans, pyrethrum.
RATE OF USE:
PINEAPPLES-100mls/m2(10L/20L water). Through drip on prepared beds or Topical application followed by liberal watering.
TOMATOES-50mls/m2(10L/20L water). Apply into planting holes or furrows: cover with soil and water liberally.
EFFECT ON BEES: Harmful to bees. Avoid application when bees are foraging.
WAITING PERIOD:21 days before planting is done on the treated area.
REG_STATUS: PCPB(CR)0789
TYPE: Adjuvant/wetting agent
CLASS: Biological saponins
CATEGORY: Organic
DESCRIPTION: Natural wet is a special formulation which includes saponins derived from the Yucca plant. These helps alleviate the stress suffered by plants under unfavorable conditions. Natural Wet may also facilitate nutrient and water absorption into the plant and stimulates plant growth and development.
COMPOSITION: Saponins
MODE OF ACTION: Reduces the surface tension of water, allowing increase in spreading ability of a pest control product thus increasing the performance of the pesticide.

DESCRIPTION: Spersal® SL interacts with clay suspension forming large aggregates and allows faster leaching of salts away from the root zone. Spersal® SL also conditions the soil and improves the movement of water and nutrients.
COMPOSITION: Spersal is based on polymaleic acid as a 50% aqueous solution.
MODE OF ACTION: Polymaleic acid increases solubility of calcium and magnesium salts. Once these Ca and Mg minerals (i.e. Ca2+ and Mg2+) are freed they can exchange places with the sodium (Na+) on soil particles and the excess of sodium salts then can be leached below the root zone by either rainfall or irrigation water.
